Description: |
Using MS Word, students create a paragraph or series of bullet points describing how they think and feel about math. After completing their MSWord document, save the documents. Next, students open an Internet browser and go to http://www.wordle.net and click the "create your own" link. Students copy the text they've created describing their math thoughts and feelings and paste into the text box and then click "go." They manipulate their Wordle until they have what they want. When they are happy with it they can"Save to Public Gallery" At this point they copy the URL for their own Wordle and paste it into the original MSWord document to create a "hot link" to their Wordle. Print the Wordle and save a hard copy in their math journals. Repeat at intervals throughout the academic year see how thoughts and feelings change over time based on experience.... |
